This year Queen Jay came out with a new documentary that she labelled as The Greatest Love Story Never Told. Her intention with this one was to gain some love from the fans, however, what she got was a huge cry from love. The documentary sparked major controversy and backlash on TikTok making the incident one of the most followed celebrity scandals of 2024.
When clips of J Lo talking about her upbringing in the Bronx went viral on TikTok, Netizens did not take her statements very well and resorted to cyber violence. But what problem do Netizens have with an innocuous documentary? They believe that Lopez is misrepresenting herself. In the trailer of The Greatest Love Story Never Told, J Lo stated that the documentary is “about facing the truth of who you really are”, and boy did the folks on the World Wide Web hate it. Such statements don’t suit your image Jay, please refrain from them.
Netizens felt that Lopez was being insincere and performative in the documentary, overly exaggerating her working-class background and connection to the Bronx. In one click J Lo tousled her hair while looking in the mirror. The action was followed up by a statement that did not land the way she wanted:
“I like taking my hair out like this,” she says. “It reminds me, like, when I was 16 in the Bronx, running up and down the block. Crazy little girl who used to f***ing be wild and no limits, all dreams.”
The statement received raised eyebrows and frowns from the Bronx residents. Some called her out for her hypocrisy while others just laughed. One TikToker, who claimed to have attended high school with Lopez called her out for lying and for using the Bronx residents to look more human.
“We both attended an all-girls high school in an Irish and Italian neighborhood, so you weren’t ‘running up and down the block,’” she says.
After seeing how the star was dragged through the mud for her documentary, we were left feeling sorry for her, this was not the response she was expecting. Being labeled as performative and inauthentic is harsh, anyway Jay unlike us, you still have a Bentley to cry in.
The “Congrats on Your Little Bump” Celebrity Scandal
It Ends with Us was a movie that was meant to enlighten the masses about domestic violence and generational trauma, however, it turned into a whole other drama. The movie was supposed to shed light on a whole different topic but ended up directing the spotlight towards Blake Lively. Blake’s nonchalance during interviews regarding domestic violence, and her focus on promoting her haircare line and on-theme floral outfits landed her in hot waters. Her attitude left many wondering if Blake was merely acting in Gossip Girl.
Even though, later on, Blake changed her tone, the audience did not let it go. In fact, Netizens started digging through her previous interviews, trying to find dirt on the Gossip Girl actress, and dirt they found. An interview of Blakes started making rounds on the internet in which Blake can be seen getting a little heated after the interviewer congratulated her on her pregnancy. During the promotion of Lively’s film Café Society, interviewer Flaa congratulated Lively by saying “Congrats on your little bump”.
The response Flaa got was sharp and unethical on all levels. Blake threw Flaa’s words right on her face even though Flaa has openly discussed her struggles with infertility.
Flaa labeled the interaction as a nightmare and admitted that after that she started questioning her career choices. Blake deary, come out of the Serena van der Woodsen trance please, because in the real world, we don’t tolerate queen bee behavior.

Miss Perry made a comeback this year, however, it did not yield the headlines and response she was hoping for. This was not Perry’s year, and we feel sorry for her. Her tribulations started when people found out that the producer of her “Woman’s World” video was none other than Lukasz Gottwald. Perry’s roar for empowerment turned into a cry for help when fans felt that her feminist message was undermined by her choice of collaborator, Dr Luke.
In 2014, Lukasz Gottwald was accused by pop star Kesha of verbally, physically, emotionally, and sexually assaulting her. Many found it comical that a woman would work with someone who was involved in a public lawsuit filed by another woman for assault. Anyway, you know what they say, “A woman is a woman’s worst enemy”.
As if being the “Abuser Collaborator” was not enough, Perry was met with another complication that she faced while working on the video shoot of her song “Lifetimes”. Apparently, the singer shot her music video in a protected area without requesting authorization. Katy darling that was not very demure, and definitely, not mindful.

Sean John Combs aka P. Diddy suffered a major blow in September 2024 when he was arrested following accusations of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, and physical violence. His billion-dollar empire came crashing down after a case was filed against him in New York. Adding fuel to the fire, the rapper was also accused of coercing women into sexual acts which solidified Cassandra Ventura’s claims of Diddy raping and abusing her. In 2023, Ventura filed a lawsuit against Diddy in which she claimed that Diddy forced her to participate in unhinged parties that he called “freak offs”.
When the accusations against Diddy came to light, police raided his Los Angeles mansion where they found some questionable items, including 1,000 bottles of baby oil and narcotics. Ever since then, the pile of Diddy accusations has been stacking high, showing no indication of dying down. At this rate, it seems that the baby oil lover might be spending the rest of his sinful life behind bars.

Looks like similar to Diddy, Mr. West’s billion-dollar empire is also about to fall to its knees. Kim’s ex-husband seems to have found himself in hot waters as his Yeezy business orders come to a halt and lawsuits continue to pile up. Are there severe financial crises waiting in the future for the controversial artist? Some sources apparently think so.
Kanye’s fall from grace did not start this year, in fact, he sparked widespread outrage due to some antisemitic comments that he uttered in 2022. If that wasn’t enough, Kanye’s brand Yeezy started struggling due to lawsuits that kept on piling up. Former Yeezy and Donda Academy staff members as well as Kanye’s ex-personal assistant filed multiple lawsuits against him.
These lawsuits resulted in his network falling from $2 billion to $400 million. And when you combine heft lawsuits with an extravagant lifestyle, the result is a homeless controversial artist.
“He may have made money in the past and from his recent album, but the way he’s going he’s going to have serious financial issues in the future if he keeps going the way he is,” an insider revealed. “He’ll likely never be broke, but he’s going to be brought back down to Earth if he doesn’t get his life together.”
